Creativity and New Media

How Could I possibly be Creative?
Well, social media has made it so easy. Have you ever used snap chat? Well if you havent, you can now create a Bitmoji that looks just like you.. Here is an example of mine.

I pretty much used the settings on the app and made an avatar that somewhat looked like me.

HW Creativity

How does new media foster creativity? well think about it for you to have something new, you clearly need to be creative with things. The right way to do things is by taking old things and mixing it up with new ones too at the end of the day create an up to date version of anything. New media is slowly changing many things and opening people's mind to bigger and different things than the old plain and simple. One good example that I recently looked at creative was the new movie of Beauty and the Beast. They kept the same old story and changed the use of cartoon and made it more up to date with the time period that we are currently in. Also focusing that with time we have newer generations which are clearly different to the old ones.

Modeling Reality with Virtual Worlds

Virtual worlds can be used as a form to communicate using text, sound, graphical images and gestures. Personally is more of making it unique and different but eventually doing the same on a virtual level. Just like anything else it has it's good and bad.  Since virtual reality mimics the real world it can be used to improve some things. Meanwhile, at the same time, it is difficult and time-consuming to recreate a virtual environment that captures all the details of the real world. How could you possibly get the best of both worlds? The virtual world is more of a way to make communication stronger and making things more visual.

Fostering creativity would be by making thins new and more real. You want to have collaboration and things to be known. The afterlife would completely be so modern that it would all be virtual and newly designed. For everything to eventually work the real and virtual world would have to collide and become one new up to date world.
In the future, I feel like virtual worlds are going to feel so realistic because of the development of technology. Everything is starting to get so modernized that things are going to be so realistic. Just imagine everything in 3-D but it's actually virtual? Wouldn't it be the coolest thing ever?

Blog: Social networking sites

Facebook... Twitter..Instagram...Snapchat.....????

These four sites have changed so much in the past couple of months. The two most popular I believe is Instagram and Snapchat which are quick and easy to use. Using facebook and twitter is more of sharing your feelings and thoughts with everyone and it stays there. Meanwhile the other two sites you can post and it then disappears.

Facebook is too much going on when you open up the site, you have ads and depending on how many friends you have most of the post are too repetitive. Twitter is the matter of following people and them following you for you to see things. Instagram is personally one of my favorites you upload your pics people like it or not and that's it. Personally, I prefer to see some post and that's it not interact as much. Snapchat also goes the same way you post and after 24 hours it disappears. All four sites are very easy to use and basic for its users.

Social Networking

Social networking is the most popular way to communicate a calm easy way. It's like building relationship all through the use of the internet and technology has been a huge thing is today's world, causing an effect on society. It can be looked as both positive and a negative thing. The use of technology makes everything so modern and up to date but at the same time affects the people adapting to it. From a corporate perspective, I feel like its an invasion of your personal life. There's also a lot of negative things that occur as an individual's social network.

Just by the simple use of internet corporates can pretty much track everything you do and publicly see without a problem. The benefits of technology its accessibility and reliability because everything we do is within reach of our fingertips. Technology has been proven to be a form of way to make everything easier for us. With time I feel like everything can be done faster and eventually there would be more innovations and creativity.

There is a "dark side" to technology because that means that eventually with time there isn't going to be any privacy.  We see today how much people rely on their devices and there is less communication on face to face. I personally feel that wit time we are going to end up being anti-social and talking to our devices. Now the million dollar question is, How great is technology for the future? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Blog v Wiki

Every wondered what in the world is the difference between a blog and a wiki..Well guess what? I'm going to elaborate and try to tell them apart for you.

A Wiki is a website that pretty much allows many users to edit and put their own feedback to a webpage.  Meanwhile, A Blog is more of an up to date web page that is more of like put your comments on a page. Usually, a blog has one author who post and people can comment and it's all one post at a time.

A wiki is more of a many to many forms of communication as opposed to a blog which is a one to many communication.

A Blog can be used for collaboration because it can build a whole conversation in the use of comments. It's a way to put ideas out there and at the same time get a feedback team. One thing that should be able to be done with Wiki is NOT to allow for things to erased. Instead of really editing it should be more of an add-on.

The article "Wikipedia to Limit Changes to Articles on People" by Noam Cohen addresses the point I made about revisions of Wikipedia and it being approved before the change is made. I always found it interesting how just anyone can edit these pages without no complications. This article makes a point that Wikipedia is no longer of interest to users as it was before.

Also, another article “A Rorschach cheat sheet on Wikipedia” by Noam Cohen points out how Wikipedia is such the good source to teach on. Just think about it, you can get answers and then update the article to show no evidence of anything of something that was once there.

What Is My Topic ? & How Good Is It ?

The topic decided to work on is Social Networking: A Purposeful Loss of Privacy!

I chose this lovely topic because with technology and the use of social networking there is NO privacy. Everything we do online is public no matter how private we may try to make it. Personally, our whole lives are at our fingertips as well as others. I plan to look into this topic and do research as to where our information really goes when we post something. My approach is going to go directly to the use of our social media accounts and our search engines affecting the ads we later see. This is an interesting topic because little do we know that everything that we do on the internet pretty much stays there and it's for everyone to see.

Think about it.....
